Passover the way to eternal life

 

Passover is the only way for salvation and eternal life.

 

And then, who commanded us to keep the passover?

 

Ex 12:10-11 Do not leave any of it till morning; if some is left till morning, you must burn it, This is how you are to eat it: with your cloak tucked into your belt, your sandals on your feet and your staff in your hand. Eat it in haste;it is the Lord's Passover

 

According to the command of the Lord God, the Israelites kept the passover and were released from Egypt.

 

Mt 26:19 So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover

 

According to the command of Jesus, the disciples kept the passover and were released from sin and entered eternal life.

 

Then, why did God command us to keep the Passover?

 

Jn 6:53 Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.

 

God wants to give eternal life to those who eat Jesus' flesh and drink his blood. How can we eat his flesh and drink his blood?

 

Lk 22: 19-20 And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying " This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me."......"This cup is the new covenant in my blood....

 

The bread of the Passover is Jesus' flesh and the wine of the Passover is his blood.Why did God want to give us eternal life with Passover?For God wants to lead us to the kingdom of heaven, where there in no death.As the eternal life, we can enter the kingdom of heaven

 

Mt 7:21 Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

 

Only he who does the will of god will enter the kingdom of heaven. To keep the Passover is the will of God. Therefore, he who keeps the Passover can enter the kingdom of heaven.
